nothing yet...

ohhh this waiting is going to kill me!

Really thought I would wake up this morning
to good news that we have our Article 5 -
the third to last step before we travel to our boys -
but still nothing.
Ohhh the roller coaster ride of adoption!

But,
look what I found in front of my house today!!!

Is this not the coolest vehicle?

It's so "me"!

Can't you just see it filled with carseats for our littles!
What do you think?

Too bad it's not for me! :)
Hubby is chaperoning the youth ski trip,
and this is a rental.
It's just a tease.
Maybe I can test drive it to see how it handles!
tee!hee!

Father and son!

I just love this photo -

Donovan just loves his daddy.

A few weeks ago,
Donovan was playing, got up from his activities,
walked over to Bryan,
hugged his leg and said,

"I love you.
You are a nice Daddy."

Melt my heart!
Our sweet son,
was the man of the house -
he has taken care of his little brother for
way too long.
Then we came into their lives -
more questions and fear for our boy.

We are so thankful that God is healing his hurts,
and he is able to trust
and love us.

His favorite things about Christmas vacation were
spending time with daddy,
and that Santa brought him an electric tooth brush -
"just like daddy"!

Sunday Snapshot: Sure Shot!

When your hubby is a Sharp Shooter in
the US Navy
and when the opportunity came up to take his youngest son shooting -
well, you bet
they're gonna go!!!

And needless to say -
Conner is pretty good!

Aim!

Fire!

And contact!
(it's hard to see but on his first ever skeet shooting -
he hit the clay like a pro!)

That smile!
It says it all!

Sunday Snapshot!

Two more weeks!

Of family time and being in our own little world
is what I want this New Year!

I'm in denial!
I don't want reality and
the crazies to set in!

We have had so much fun this break!
The kids have stayed up way to late -
and have slept to noon too many times!

But this Christmas break will go down
in the record books as one of the best!

Brady will be off to college in another
year and a half -
so we are cherishing these times!

And we loved game night last night!

Team Blue pulled away with a early lead

But, Team Red played a slow methodical game
and won in the very last second.

Can you guess what one of our family
Christmas gifts were?
Here's a few more hints...

and Kenzie's work of Art -
she calls it

Men in their Natural State

We're all having a great time learning how to play with it
but need a lot of help!

What's your guess?

Sunday Snapshot: Truly Blessed!

We are Truly Blessed
and truly enjoyed our day with each other.

Sometimes in our hectic life,
we forget to take time out
and be silly together.

Today we did just that!

And we stayed in our PJ's all day!!!

and poor Jailyn

who had a 103 temperature for most of the day -
but was determined to enjoy the day!

Hope y'all had a fun restful day too!

My Man!

The man behind all this blog!

I know I don't write about him much,
nor do I post many photos of him,

but,
I promise there is a very good man
who leads are beautiful family.

When I began blogging,
the purpose was to keep friends and family
informed of our adoption of Jailyn
and then of Jorja, all our family and friends
no Bryan so I didn't say much about him.

But, now I have bloggy friends
who don't know my better half.

So, let me introduce my man!

Bryan is a very busy man!
He is an engineer with a company in town,
unfortunately he doesn't work at the two plants that are closest
to our home, so his commute is
longer then we would like.

He is also Commander in the US Navy Reserves
(kinda handsome,eh?)
He has his 20 years in so this commitment may be
over soon.

Any free time he has you will find him on
the soccer field with kids around him.
Bryan coaches 3 teams,
and loves each kids that plays for him.
(Hoping for a trophy today at her championship game!)

Bryan loves to spend time with our kids.
Though he's not home as often as we would like,
he loves to take over the bedtime rituals with
the little girls.
(I promise this is not a bed time ritual!)
or on the off chance that we don't have a soccer game -
he's ready to play!

A hard working, wonderful man that deserves
a very Happy Father's Day!

While big brother is away...

Little brother learns to step up

and
take the first steps into manhood!

maybe someday he will look like this...
silly man!
secure in his manhood!

Dad and Conner even took a trip to the dump!
(I think Conner will be glad for the next
soccer tournament weekend!)

Christmas Lights

So Bryan and Conner began working on our lights -

they measured and planned their design.

Bryan had to go into work for a few hours after dark
I thought they were done for the day...

Silly me!
The next thing I know -
I heard clanging on the roof tops,
could it be...

oh, no...
it's Bryan with a huge ladder
he had run to Home Depot to rent a huge ladder -
and they were able to add to their master piece!

10pm that night - they finally came in!

Good work guys!

(sorry my snap and shoot doesn't
take great night time shots -
and the big tree in front of the
house hides some of the lights.)

Merry Christmas season to y'all!
