10 reasons why we do what we do...

#10

Over 147 million children go to sleep
every night without a good night kiss.

#9

James 1:22
"Be ye doers of the word,
and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves."

#8

I Corinthians 10:31
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do,
do it all for the glory of God.

#7

Ephesians 5: 1-2
Follow God's example, therefore, as dearly loved children
and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself
up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

#6

Matthew 5 13-16
You are the salt of the earth.  But if the salt loses it's saltiness, how can it be made salty again?
It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
You are the light of the world.  A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.  Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl.  Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

#5

James 1:27
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this:
to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being
polluted by the world.

#4

Psalm 68:5-6
Father to the fatherless, defender of widows -
that is God, whose dwelling is holy.
God places the lonely in families...

#3

Matthew 25:40
"In as much as ye have done it unto one of the least
of these my brethren,
ye have done it unto me."

#2

Mark 16:15
He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel
to all creation.

#1

Mark 12: 33
To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength,
and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings
and sacrifices.

Amen! We cannot follow Christ without truly following him by caring for those who cannot care for themselves.
