The price of a child

How does one dare put a dollar amount on a child.

We get asked ALL the time...

"How much did they cost?

"What does your husband do?"

"My husband needs a job like your hubby has."

"Have you added up how much
you have spent on these children?"

and the one that really got my blood boiling...
said to Jailyn
"Tell your parents it's cheaper if they adopt domestically."

And all I have to say,
is...

if you were lost and abandoned ,
if you were starving,
if you were being abused,
if you sat in a prison
alone,
unwanted...

would you want people to turn away,
or would want someone to come to your rescue.

If the cost was $30,000 to pay your ransom -
would you understand when people
choose to spend hundreds of dollars
on their Sunday "go-to-church" clothes.
Would this be okay with you,
or would you be discouraged all the more?

Now can you really put a price on these smiles?

I think they are priceless!

YESSS! The one that got me was "that's dumb to waste your money and adopt a boy from China if there are more girls who need homes."
I love my son. I didn't chose my child's gender, God did, and he did a great job. I would easily pay a billion dollars any day to have my son instead of $30,000.

Some people are so insensitive. You have a beautiful family. And are blessed to have them in your life.
