move

I have been asking the Lord for guidance,
simple guidance -
cause I'm kinda simple.

One word which God would have me focus on this year.

HE kept bringing up the word move.

Now, though I would love to take the word move
 and tell hubby -
"hey, God is telling us to get a bigger house -
HE says we need to move."
that would be cool!
But, I don't think that is what God is saying.

Rather,
I believe God is reminding me to
move for Him and toward HIM.

1.) to take action.

This morning in my B90X reading,
I read about Noah and the Ark.
Yes, a story that we all have heard since we were toddlers -
but it again stuck me -
it wasn't raining when Noah began building.
Infact, it was far from it!
But Noah believed God, trusted him,
and moved.

Sooo many times in my daily walk do I ask God
why is HE asking me to do this,
or go through this -
there is no need.
But God knows and has a plan -
if I am just willing to move
as HE asks me too.

2) to stir the emotions, feelings, or passions

I want to wake every morning and ask God to
stir my heart for what stirs HIS.
to break my heart for what breaks HIS.
to love and desire what HE loves and desires.
To have HIS passion.

So, this year, my New Year's Resolution is not one of a list of
things to do
or not to do -
but one word,
move
and I pray God will make this word new in me every morning.

I realized while reading this that God has been saying the same thing to me. I have been treading water for awhile now. Things have been good and I didn't want to rock the boat. But God isn't through with me and there are things I need to do. I'm not exactly sure what they are, but I'm sure He will let me know as we go along. So I will also use your word and remind myself to "move!" Thanks for sharing.

Well said!!!! We all need to be reminded to MOVE when God speaks, not be a typical kid and ask the Why's just do it because He said to. Thanks for the reminder!
