celebrating 5 years!

Amazed that Jailyn has been in our arms for 5 years now!

WOW!

Today we were able to get away
for a bit,
just the two of us!

Jailyn loves her photo sessions
and then a fun trip to the grocery store
to pick up some ice cream and toppings
for our "gotcha" day party!

During our time together I was able to
interview her a bit:

What is your favorite color?

Purple.

Why do you get so excited to celebrate your "Gotcha" day?

Cause that is when you and Daddy
came to China to adopt me,
and now I'm special
and I have a family.

What makes you special?

Cause I have a mommy,
and you adopted me.

What do you like to do with your family?

Play games.

What do you want other adults to know
about adoption?

They shouldn't be afraid to adopt a kid,
families are nice
and all kids deserve a mommy and daddy.

I remember coming to play with her when you got home....so smart and loving and completely adorable.

What a wonderful person to advocate for adoption she is.

Happy Gotcha Day sweet Jailyn.
