She's a trooper!

Jailyn in
"Jailyn style",

had the hospital staff

ohh'ing and ahh'ing over her as usual.

Though the morning began with her in fear,
and tears,

Jailyn remained her sweet self.
When the nurse brought a bucket of little stuffed animals for her to pick one -
Jailyn picked a pink alligator.

I asked her what she was going to name her -

Jailyn answered.
"I'm not going to name her,
I'm going to give her to Jorja.
I think Jorja will like her."

The surgical nurses were very sweet with Jailyn
helping keep her fears in check
and Jailyn went willingly with them.

About 30 minutes later they brought her back to me -

the nurse said to me,
"you have a very smart daughter"

I got a little nervous -
wondering what Jailyn was telling them while
still a bit loopy from the medication.
(tee!hee!)

the nurse continued,
"So I hear you have pictures to show me."

I looked at Jailyn a bit confused
and she said,
"Mom, show her my brothers pictures!"

Jailyn took our "Brag book" and showed her pictures of Donovan and Elijah.

Another hour later -
we were on our way home!

but not without stopping by a few play areas in the hospital!

This was such a good experience for Jailyn!

Thank you for your prayers!

Such a little sweetheart. I'm glad her procedure went well. I swear I would have thought you were at our Children's hospital seeing your daughter standing on the colorful water circles. Josie just played on those same circles this week too.

WOW Jodi! I know this procedure goes fast, but WOW! And then to have her so perky with everyone and showing off Donovan and Elijah, too!! She's such a sweetie pie...what a heart! Give her a hug from her Auntie Anita! Love ya!

Kim, I know - our hospital just added that wing - we only got to walk through it but it is beautiful!!! I was jealous when I saw Josie's pictures - and here we have it now too! It sure made Jailyn smile!
