The post I didn't want to write!

So, some of you know, and some of you don't know,
what is going on with Ethiopia and international adoption.

And it's hard to explain in one post,
I don't think I totally understand it all.
I try to stay away from all the gossip.
Adoption is such a roller coaster ride anyway,
without everyone else's drama.

But today the drama is becoming way to real.

Needless to say,
this weekend we will be sitting on pins and needles wondering if our
court date will hold true.

We have received word from the Department of State that
adoption cases registered with the Ethiopian court, the best estimate is a one-year delay.

Even if we get to keep our court date, we don't know,
and have been told that we probably wont know until court if all our needed Ethiopian government paperwork (MOWA letter) is included in our file.

If this paperwork is not included we will NOT pass court.
Normally this is not a huge deal,
a delay of a few weeks but not a major problem.
(I really have tried to keep calm and positive)

Our agency says that we should be able to keep our court date,
but if we don't pass -
they can't promise that we will receive another court date in a reasonable time frame.

And then,
there is the question of if we keep our court date and
if we pass the first time,
then will the Embassy appointment (our second trip)
be processed in a reasonable time.

Sooo, right now - we are in limbo.

We have been told that there is another meeting about all of this scheduled
for Monday -
but until then,
this is going to be a loooooong weekend!

This is our personal prayer request:

For wisdom for the Ethiopian government,
that God will continue to wrap our boys in His arms,
and let them know they are loved,
and for us to accept the decisions with a Godly heart.

Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD,
"plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future."
