This is not the post I wanted to
write today,
I was hoping for something much more
light hearted and fun!
It is Friday.
But many times are plans are detoured.
Today Bryan and I will be
supporting one of his co-workers
as their plans for their family life
changed drastically on Monday.
Their son, a freshman at Brady's high school,
took his own life.
As one who has lost her brother to suicide,
I am at a lost for words.
I just want to hold this family
and sob with them.
I want to help them in the months
to come to stand again,
to love,
and to pray with them for the
strength to do mundane chores.
I'm sure this family would ask for
just...
one more day,
one more hug,
one more chance to tell their
son how important he is.

Jodi...this is so tragic. I am praying for the family as well as yourself to go through memories. Praying for Brady as he sees how badly some hurt even in their youth. (or maybe especially)Love you girl!
Jodi-
This is so tragic!! It is unbelievable how many people this family is linked too. I have been counseling and praying with kids all week. This is such a sad and tragic loss. Many prayers are with you, Andrew's family, and the friends and community that are mourning this sweet young boy.
I'm very sorry. I'm really very sorry.
If only Andrew could have seen the church full of people today and last night.
Melissa - we are praying for you Young Life leaders! I really think you're message monday night was very timely! God is amazing.
We will have some boys at our house this weekend too -
praying God uses this tragedy.
I cant even imagine what that family must be going through. And so sorry you had to go through that with your brother. Just so tragic!!
