The idea of a mixed family

As we follow where  God is leading us -

we will have a very blended family -

with two very caucasian parents!

Three blond biological children.

Though, this has been a dream of mine -
Bryan is a bit newer to this thinking.
(but believe me he is excited and
loves that God is leading us to our son!)

As we struggle with the what agency to use
I have searching God's heart, through His word,
what does God really say about adoption?

What about blended families?

Are Asian and Caucasian family blend okay,
but black kids added to the family -
now that can't be right.
(I squirm as I type that -but I know
that is what society says)

When a white family adopts and African child
are the parents questioned even more,
 are ruder comments made?

This attitude doesn't worry me for me
but it does worry me for my son -
will he be teased because he has a red-head mommy?
Will he be ridiculed in High School?

I find comfort in knowing that Jesus said,
"Let the little children come to me."

He didn't say, "Let the healthy children come to me."
or
"Let the pretty children come to me."

He didn't specify race or religion...

He said, "The Children.."

Wow... He also said that anything done for the least of these (specifically widows and orphans) was done for Him. No one can argue with that. Have you seen "The Blind Side" yet? We will pray.
