What is this?

Make your guess!!!

Sweet Sisters!

The all three big kids played in a soccer tournament this weekend!
This was Jorja's first soccer tournament experience!
A long weekend with games til 10:30 Friday night
and a game at 8 am Saturday morning til 10:30 that night!
with the fields 45 minutes away.
She did great!
Thanks to all the team mates and parents who helped
me entertain the girls!
We have some wonderful team mates!

The big kids teams did great too!
Very close games!
Can't wait for next weekend for
Conner's team's 2nd tournament!

Creativity at it's finest!

Don't leave her alone with a stamp pad!
At least, next time I need to make sure the stamp pad is child friendly!
Green hands!

I can't stop looking!

I am having a hard time not spending all my free time
on different adoption websites of Waiting Children.

In November I remember just craving to bring Jorja home!
I wanted to get her home, to love her, to teach her,
to not have to worry about her while she is half a world a way.

We had found Jorja a year to the day before we left for
China to finally hold her in our arms.
That was such a hard year - missing her, preparing for her, loving her from a far.

I remember wanting to get her home so that
I could have peace that my family was finally under one roof.

After Jailyn's adoption I really had no need to
look at faces of the Waiting Children.
I had my daughter home and was content -
of course, until we saw Jorja's face! :)

But, from the first week home with Jorja I have not been able to
tear away from these precious children.
Not that Jorja's presence is any less then Jailyn,
but my heart is growing and breaking at the same time.
There are soooo many beautiful children around the world who just want a family.

We're praying that God will lead us to where he wants us to go.
Jailyn tells us we need to go back to China,
but some us are thinking Africa is where we need to go.

It is still so hard to gaze at these faces, look into their eyes, read about
each child...
and walk away knowing that I am not in the middle of
paperwork to bring one of them home.

I wonder where Jailyn and Jorja would be today if we had not said, "yes".
Even more so,
I wonder where the rest of us would be without
Jailyn and Jorja in our life and our family!

A friend sent me this link to a story of another family in town
who adopted a 14 year old boy from China.
Here are the links, to this beautiful story -
be sure to have the Kleenex close by!

The Splash Park!

Last week was crazy after getting home from Colorado a day and a half late.
After car trouble in Colorado, God got us home safely, and I never had such an easy drive home. The girls were angels and I was wide awake the whole ride.
Of course, Jorja entertained the police officer who stopped me
(I guess my license plates are expired - I wasn't speeding.)
He only gave me a warning.

Getting all my regular Mommy jobs accomplished,
feeling very unorganized being a day behind.
So, when Friday came we were ready to get out and have some fun!

Thankfully we were blessed with a beautiful spring day!
We went with our Mom/kids Connections group from church to a local splash park.
I wasn't sure what Jorja would think of it.
She was already very confused why I would every ask her to wear an outfit called a swim suit "soom soup" that is in two pieces, no pants - just panties, and no pull-up.
?????
what is this crazy mom thinking!
And it doesn't help when Jailyn calls her swim suit,
"her bra and panties".

When Jailyn showed her what to do with the sprinklers, she was sooo happy!
She came to me a few times during the day with arms open wide, huge smile on her face and said,
"This is fun!!" "Love park!!"

I love days like this too!
No jobs to get done except love and play with each other!
I need more days like this!

ying and yang

The two are such opposites,
but totally balance each other!

They both love Dortio's
(momma's least favorite chip - messy and stinky!)

Jailyn has no problem eating these chips and
getting Dorito mess all over her,
and on everything around her.

Jorja, on the other hand...
needs a napkin to eat her Dorito's.
Not only does she need a napkin,
but she needs to change her placing of the napkin after each bite.
It's great when we are shopping -
keeps her busy the entire shopping trip!

What's missing?

Aren't they just beautiful?

I could just eat them up!!!
According to the domestic adoption system -
we already have too many kids and can't welcome these kids into our family -
but maybe one of you would be able to love on these kids!
And give them the love, patience, and loving home they need!

Interested in China Adoption?
I don't think it gets any cuter then this little guy!

I don't think I could keep my fingers from pinching those cute little cheeks!

Finally Wed!

The little girls and I were able to go
to Colorado to see my
nephew Jason and his beautiful bride Staci get hitched!
Jason was born in Scotland, doesn't he look adorable in his Kilt!

(He's my nephew - I can call him "adorable")

And my sister Isabelle, brother-in-law Cal,
nieces Julie and Amanda and
my great-nephew Gavin - sooo, cute!
And Staci's sweet parents!

Love y'all!

I love this photo -
but sad that the rest of my gang wasn't there!

But here we have -
(backrow) Sister-in-law Jen, brother John, brother Jay, niece Jordan,
(front row) Jorja and myself, Mom "Mimi" and Jailyn, and Papa Paul!

Thanks for taking the photo Amanda!
and Cal - thanks getting us to laugh -
may be a bit too hard!

Princess Jailyn!

Our Principal was introducing Jailyn to our new school secretary:

Mrs. T: "This is Jailyn, she is a honey!"

Jailyn: "I'm not a honey...

I'm a Princess!"
