One of the hardest things we are dealing with right now
is the other little kids getting very upset
with people who laugh at their amazing brother.
I love that they are so protective of him,
but,
it kills me that they get sooooo upset.
One of the reasons we decided to keep Hagan home
for school this year is
so we can build our relationship with him,
encourage him, give him the self-confidence
in knowing how loved he is here at home,
so that he can stand up for himself
when he goes to school.
We are trying to help the other kids help educate
others and remind their peers that
different is cool!
different is cool!
Trying to explain to them that the world makes fun
of things and people that they don't understand
is a very hard lesson.
Especially the person who is being picked on is
someone you love!
Especially the person who is being picked on is
someone you love!
So, friends, please help us by educating
yourself and kids -
we are all different,
we all have our strengthens and weaknesses,
but we all have feelings and we all get hurt easily.
Difference is a good thing -
this world should would be boring if we all looked the same!

Praying for a day when we can all love one another and celebrate the differences.
What a great post and a great reminder to me to educate my boys that God made all of us different and that He loves the beautiful creation He made! Your children are beautiful and perfectly made.
I'm so sorry, it's a horrible world we live in these days and the people are just so very rude, period. It's sad that people say and do mean things to others, and especially to children. I just don't understand it.
Your boys as I have said before, are just beautiful little people. I have never met anyone of their size before and If I ever do meet them, i'm giving them a hug. I hope by the time Hagan goes to school, that his peers would treat him with respect, he has done nothing wrong. And yeah, this world would look pretty boring if we all looked the same.
