Just the beginning!

As we begin our journey to our child
in Ethiopia -
so begins our joy in seeing God at work!

After financing the adoption of Jailyn and Jorja on
our own,
as God is calling us to adoption again,
He is also asking us to rely on Him to supply our needs.
As the control freaks that Bryan and I are,
this can be quite difficult.

And as a mom of 5 already,
I often wonder,
"really God?  Another kiddo?!"
"Isn't my quiver full?
It feels full to me."

You know what I mean -
there are just some days that are like that!

But God is faithful!

A few weeks ago, after I had counted the money
that we have already raised.
I asked Bryan,
"Guess how much more we need for
the next agency fee?"
He guessed $1,000.
HA!
"$297"

"Wow" Was his, and the other kids reactions.
We were so excited to see God work to provide for us.

The next day,
Kenzie's soccer team, which Bryan coaches,
had a small end of season picnic,
they also gave the coaches a gift.
(They are so sweet, and thoughtful -
the gift cards they give us always come in handy!)
But, this time
the card read,
"We are 'Truly Blessed' to have you as our Coach"
and in the card
they had included
$300.

When we saw that we just cried!

God not only provides but he provides
in abundance!

Thank you to all of you who have helped us with our
fund raising!
God is using you in a mighty way!

Matthew 6:25-26
25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life,
what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear.
Is not life more important than food,
and the body more important than clothes?
26Look at the birds of the air;
they do not sow or reap or store away in barns,
and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.
Are you not much more valuable than they?

Matthew 6:31-34

31So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?'
or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'
32For the pagans run after all these things,
and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness,
and all these things will be given to you as well.
34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow,
for tomorrow will worry about itself.
Each day has enough trouble of its own.
