Another option!!!

We are excited to add another t-shirt design
to our fund raising!!!

Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance
about what we do not see.
Hebrews 11:1

FAITH - is Laynee's middle name!

The poppy flowers on the front have special meaning too.
Miles "John" is named after my father,
who was called to heaven before meeting 11 of his 12 grandkids.
But they all know him by his grandpa nickname of "poppy".

This scripture verse is one of my favorite verses.
Though we don't know God's plan,
we can be assured that HE is in control
and has a plan
far beyond what we could think of.

Like our Superman tee's we will be holding our first round of sales until June 1st.
And have a goal of 75 tee's for each design!
The Faith tee's can be ordered in regular fit or fitted.
Superman tee's are only regular fit.
They are both soft fabric tee's, very comfortable!

Thank you for your support!

Huge step forward!

Wow! What a day!
We were able to hang out at a park in Denver,

and see some old friends,
and make some new friends.

The adoption agency we used to bring Donovan and Elijah home had
their annual summer picnic this weekend!
We were so happy that we were in town and could join
them all.

There was Ethiopian music and dancing...

 A traditional coffee ceremony,

Jailyn found the coffee fascinating!

and...

boys

 well...

being boys!

Not everything about today was easy for my boys.
Some things brought back feelings of pain
and abandonment.

This was a HUGE step for them.
I am so proud of them for facing this day
and am so thankful they are in my arms!

THE FUNd BOWL

Some people just amaze me!

This amazing lady has begun a way for adoptive parents to
fundraise for all the crazy fee's that
are needed to bring their precious kiddos home.

We were introduced by a mutual friend
and look what Dalas came up with to
help us, complete strangers,
to raise the last of our funds...

The Game

Let’s play some Fund Ball!  Here’s how our Fund Bowl is going down…
To win Fund Ball, you have to guess the final total score of the Super Bowl game being played on Sunday night.  The guess that is closest to the actual final score wins!
Here’s the FUNd twist!  You must earn points to wager a guess.  To earn points – donate to a “player” (AKA: one of our benefiting families!)  For every dollar in donations you give you will receive one point to use in your guesses.
Spreading the love earns you more points!  If you donate at least $6 to each family you score a TOUCHDOWN and we will double your points!  If you share on Facebook or Twitter you will get an EXTRA POINT – or one point each!  If you blog about our Fund Bowl you will earn a FIELD GOAL – or 3 extra points!
But remember, unlike Football, the person with the most points does not necessarily win Fund Ball!  Your goal is to correctly guess the final total score of Sunday night’s game.  You can make as many or as few guesses as you want!  But you can only guess as many points as you have earned.  I will give you an example and then – get ready to play!!
If I donated $10 to each family I would get 20 points for $20 of donations.  If I also blog and share on Facebook, that’s an extra 4 points.  I now have 24 points total PLUS I scored a touchdown by giving to both families.  My points are doubled to 48!  I can use my points to make one guess of 48 OR I can make two guesses of 24 OR I can make a guess of 18, a guess of 10 and a guess of 20.  As long as all my guesses together are equal or less than my points earned, it’s fair game!
FOR OUR FOOTBALL CHALLENGED PLAYERS:  You can play too!  To put you on par with our other guests, here are some things to keep in mind:
- the Super Bowl is the championship game of the “American Football” game.

– The lowest possible combined total score is 2-0 or 2 points.
– The average total score of Super Bowl games in the last ten years is 45 points.
– The highest scoring Super Bowl in history was 75 points.

Go check it out -and make your Superbowl bet!
Entry must be made prior to kickoff Sunday evening at 6:30pm!

Thank you Dalas for helping us!

Painted Canvas

Cause I am pacing and pacing,
refreshing my email for an update
from our agency probably every 5 minutes!
Driving my family nuts
as we wait to hear from our adoption agency
about our Travel Approval...
any day now!

I decided to do some more painting -
and I thought I'd see if any of you would like
one or two.

They are painted 8x10 canvas
I can paint these colors or if you have a special
color scheme you prefer
I would love to make a special one
with your child's name
for you!

Shakin' it up a bit!

Okay -
so just for fun
I thought I would shake this
FUNdraising thing up a bit!

We have three other super, good friends
who are also fundraising to bring their
precious children home!

Soooo,
here's the twist -
if you donate to one of their fundraising efforts,
or ours -
I will add you to the $200 Target gift card give-a-way!

Just let me know that you donated -
(they all have donation buttons on their blogs)
make sure you leave your name for one or all of my friends,
I will confirm with my friends,
and then will add you to the give-a-way!

Easy, peasy!
Let's get these precious kiddo's home!!!

Now let me introduce y'all to my friends!

Family #1
are adopting sweet, sweet Liam from Korea.

 Family #2
 Our friends,
are bringing home princess Khloie from China!
We are hoping to travel together!
Watch out China - here we come!

Last but not least -
Family #3
They are adopting precious Jonathan
from Russia!
Thank you for helping us and our friends bring
their precious children home.
Home where they will be loved and secure!
I can't thank you enough!!!

Sooooo close!!!!

We are so close to our boys now we can hardly stand it!

There are moments days that I just sit and gaze at their faces!
I just can't wait to hear their voices,
to giggle with them,
 to hold them,
 to love on them!

We are sooo ready to just jump on a plane
and tell the powers that be in China -
to just give us our boys.

But... unfortunately, adoption doesn't work that way!

So instead,
we will do one last fundraiser!
(I hope!)

A $200 Target gift card give-a-way!
Now who wouldn't like this?

You may add your donation to our Chip-In on the sidebar
titled Bring our boys home
(you can also email or facebook me for other options)
 This FUNdraiser ends Feb 13th!
A donation of $10 gets you 1 chance
A donation of $20 gets you 2 chances
and so on and so on...
And just for fun...
share our fund raiser on your facebook or blog
and you and you get another chance to win!
(remember to let me know if you share -
I don't want to miss anyone!)

Thank you to everyone who has supported us through
this adventure!
We are so thankful to each and everyone of you!

A HUGE thank you!

Wow!
I dont' even know what to say!

There are sometimes on life's journey when you meet people
that change your life,
you thought you were doing good -
and then God places some incredible people
in your path -
instant friendships are made
(okay, so maybe my obnoxious snort laugh
had something to do with it,
or maybe it was the pain meds I was on from
my spinal surgery,
but still... )

Thomas and Kat are those kind of people -
and this week they have chosen to help us
raise our last $9000 to bring Hagan and Griggs home!

Check out the interview on Kat's blog:

And check out their story of their newest son,
still waiting for them,
but they are working as fast as possible to bring
sweet Jonathan home!

Thank you Kat and Thomas!

Amazed and thankful!

We have been amazed and we are so very
thankful to y'all for coming to our rescue!

Soooo many of you have given to us,
to help us bring our boys home!

We are sooo close to meeting
and bringing them home -
I can hardly stand it!

I'm thinking these two goof balls...

are going to fit in just perfectly
with this wacky crew!

$10,000 in 30 days

Best case scenario,
we leave to meet our boys in 30 days!
I can't even believe it!
F.I.N.A.L.L.Y.

God has raised $35,000 in 10 months.

And we are asking if y'all would help us with
the remaining $10,000 needed.

We only need 1,000 people to
donate $10.
You can use our donate button on the right side of our blog.

and then,
if you could share our blog with others
through your blogs or on your facebook,
just word of mouth, snail mail
smoke signals, mores code -
whatever form of communication you prefer,
we would greatly appreciate it!

Thank you so much!
I hate fundraising sooooo very much!
I hate asking for help at all.

But I hate that children live without
the love of a family even more.
God has humbled me in so many ways during
our journey to Hagan and Griggs.

To God be the glory!

"My friends, adoption is redemption.
It's costly, exhausting, expensive, and outrageous.
Buying back lives costs so much.
When God set out to redeem us, it killed Him."

"You must be RICH!"

This is one of the frequent comments we get from
friends and strangers alike.

Everyone knows that adoption, domestic and international,
has it's financial fee's.

Fee's that seem astronomical when one first looks into adoption.

And after four adoptions,
we have gotten this comment even more now.
and the popular,
"What does your husband do?"

And though,
I'd love to say -
"yes, we are rich!"
That is not the case.

Bryan has a wonderful job with a great company,
he works his tail off
and is a great provider for our family!
And well,
had we stopped adding to our family at
Kenzie or even Conner -
we would probably be rich.
(Monetarily speaking.)

We do have an incredible inheritance though!

You see,
our Father owns cattle on a thousand hills!

Oh, yes HE does!

And when HE asks us to step out in faith,
HE carries us all the way!
Asking us to allow HIM to provide for us,
 his children.

Don't let the scary $ signs of adoption
scare you away.
Pray and pray!

He owns the cattle on a thousand hills,
The wealth in every mine;
He owns the rivers and the rocks and rills,
The sun and stars that shine.
Wonderful riches, more than tongue can tell -
He is my Father so they're mine as well;
He owns the cattle on a thousand hills -
I know that He will care for me.
Words and Music by John W. Peterson

Psalm 50:10
"For every beast of the forest is mine,
and the cattle upon a thousand hills.
