Looking back, its amazing that as a kid, I was still overjoyed with the season regardless of the fact that there was never much under the tree. We would use my dad's tube socks as stockings and there were always fruit and nuts and some candy in them on Christmas morning. I don't know why I remember that but I loved it!

Anyways, my tradition now is quite different! When we have our family Christmas with my mom and sister and her family, we aren't quite "traditional". We have Indian tacos for lunch and the kids all put on aprons and help my mom make the homeade puffy tortillas. The kids will get their rolling pins and roll them out etc. Not sure when we started this but we have been doing it now for years. The kids really look forward to "Indian tacos" at Nana's on Christmas! Of course after the tacos, they open their gifts from Nana and Aunt "Winnie".Milk Carton Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12586495020042411725noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1353178627219781934.post-39817165871078893802009-12-10T05:31:14.207-08:002009-12-10T05:31:14.207-08:00Hey hey Jodi!

When my mom looked down and I had stuck my finger in my dog's butt. She screamed and ever since then my family decides to bring it up every year.

I am usually the "butt" of the joke.Jessica Hyleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01582139483822090122noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1353178627219781934.post-69305165683369416082009-12-09T12:41:57.733-08:002009-12-09T12:41:57.733-08:00We have SO many favorites!!! Cinnamon rolls on C'mas morning, flying to China on C'mas morning (oops, that was a one time thing, not a tradition), Nate (our "elf on the shelf"), reading a tiny story book under the tree while eating Hershey's Kisses, lots of C'mas music (esp SCC and Amy Grant) played loudly thru the whole house, riding the Pink Pig (pics coming soon to a blog near you!), pic with Santa with Ally's referral group (all from the same SN list), our HUGE C'mas tree, our mom/daughter ornament party (which, is this Sunday if you are in the area!!!), etc....Cupcakes and Hairbowshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02893919998325290805noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1353178627219781934.post-38187565715150717032009-12-09T10:38:29.413-08:002009-12-09T10:38:29.413-08:00Hey Jodi Sue,

They love poring over them and trying to decide which one is the best so they can open it first! We did the same thing when I was a kid. If we became too obnoxious the week before Christmas, we were told we wouldn't get to open our Christmas Eve present. Very motivational.
Hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
Love,
BeverlyBev Whttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00383357412474828571noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1353178627219781934.post-22597355890787162012009-12-09T07:15:00.675-08:002009-12-09T07:15:00.675-08:00Hi Jody,
